| Decent pic of witch hazel... |
[Nov. 15th, 2009|01:48 pm] |
With apologies to dad and the his old camera that he gave to me when he got his new one. I referred to it as a cheap-ass camera. Turns out it was the cheap-ass lighting in my apartment. Here's a pic of her on the counter at our local Complete Petmart with decent lighting...If anyone in the Ohio area wants to adopt her...

| My new foster kitten!! |
[Nov. 9th, 2009|05:00 pm] |
My new foster kitty! This is Woo Woo. Well, that's the name she came with. Her parents are Mr. & Mrs. Woo. Dad was a full-blood Himalayan and mom was a Siamese/Snowshoe mix. I've got her to try to socialize her because at her first adoption event for the shelter, she was hissing, spitting, clawing and biting. I've renamed her Witch Hazel. Partially because it fits and partially because I don't care how much baby-talking she gets, I'm not calling her 'Woo-woo.' Just. no.

Come check out my shop!!!
http://www.cafepress.com/EstherJoseph
I've got some great, clever designs (if I do say so myself!) that are on things like T-shirts, mugs, bags, mousepads, etc... They make great gifts and with the holiday season coming up, you might want to check it out.
Also, by buying items from my shop, you're contributing to a good cause - I'm giving $1 from the sale of EACH ITEM (as opposed to each ORDER) to the American Cancer Society.
So really...check it out! If you see a saying/design that's not on an item you want, let me know and I'll put it there! If you have any suggestions on new designs/sayings, let me know! I'll give you $1 for each one I sell (I'll even email screencaps of the sales reports to keep me honest!)!

| Check out the improvements to my CafePress shop!! |
[Oct. 23rd, 2009|01:02 am] |
I splurged and went for the free 15-day trial of the premium store. I've added a couple new clever (if I do say so myself) designs and a multitude of products with the aforementioned designs! There's even a way to search by section (T-shirts, mugs, etc...). Let me know if there's a design you want on a particular product that I don't currently have for sale and I'll put it up for sale!
Check it out here: www.cafepress.com/EstherJoseph
If anyone has any suggestions as to a saying or artwork they would like to see, PM me and if I use it, I'll give you $1 from each one sold!
Also, I have a request from my mother for a design for her retirement community. I need someone who can draw/caricature/cartoon/etc...The name of the place is Century Village in Deerfield Beach, FL. You don't have to do any text, I can handle that if you don't want to, but I can't draw very well. I'm thinking either flamingo, pelican, or gecko (please no Geico gecko...copyright and all that) enjoying retirement. Once again, I'll give you $1 from each shirt sold (and mom promises people in the village will buy them).
As always, $1 from every item sold on my site goes to the American Cancer Society, so you can do your Xmas shopping and help a good cause at the same time! :)

| Check out my CafePress shop! $1 from each sale helps fight cancer! |
[Oct. 1st, 2009|02:17 pm] |
Esther Joseph's Place is open for business! I've got t-shirts and bags and mugs and stuff all with cute sayings with new items being added as fast as I can create them!! A little background: After losing an aunt and an uncle (Esther 'Sug' Minkin and Joseph White) and ALMOST losing both my father and an uncle to cancer, I decided I needed to do something. Since I'm way too squeamish to enter the medical profession, I decided to sell T-shirts instead (yeah, I know...totally logical). I will be donating $1 from every product sold to the American Cancer Society. I've been meaning to do this for a while now and have finally gotten off my a** and done it. Please check it out and purchase something if so inclined - it's for a good cause! I would also appreciate if you could pass this post on to your friends lists as I can't yet afford actual advertising as yet... Thanks ever so! |

| Writer's Block: Don't Call It a Comeback |
[May. 23rd, 2009|08:58 pm] |
I was on a first date with a guy who was listing all the ways I could improve my life and that I could change 'only if I wanted to.'
After the fact, I realized I should have said, "ok, but when did this become a 12-step meeting?"

One of the greatest versions of the parrot sketch. The end is cut off (and I can't find the whole thing, dammit!), but this is the first time they did it live...
